Reflections on the Back to School Fashion

June 21, 2018     Fashion And Beauty     No comments

We use various ways to express ourselves. We either use words or we use other symbols. We make use of signals, we make use of gestures and we also make use of fashion to tell the world what we want to say. When we put on our clothes for the day, it is like we are declaring to the world our attitude for the day. This is the reason why it is so interesting to observe the back-to-school fashion preferences of people. The back to school fashion preference of a person shows who he will be for the whole term in a nutshell.

There are those people who wear practically the same thing they did in the last term. The bad thing about this is that this could be an indication of little to no personal growth in the past term. This could be an indication that the person did not mature in the past year. What could make this worse is if that person had been wearing the same fashion for more than 5 years. That could be an indicator of a serious problem.

The positive interpretation of this could be that the person has matured enough to have found his or her identity in life. This type of back-to-school fashion could indicate that a person is already perfectly happy with the image that he or she presents and that they feel no urge to change. It could also be an indication that the person has had a great past year and wishes to recapture that year.

There are people who exhibit great changes in their back to school fashion. There is also a good side and a bad side to this. The good interpretation of this is that the person has experienced an epiphany. A change in back-to-school fashion could be an indicator that a person has reached a new level of maturity and is ready to face the world with a new attitude. He or she could be declaring to the world that he or she is a new person, changed for the better and willing to tackle the world head on.

There is also a dark side to this change in back-to-school fashion. A person could have suffered from an event so cataclysmic that it required the person to reject his or her old personality entirely. A drastic change in back-to-school fashion could be akin to a person screaming, “I am not who I used to be. It will not happen to me anymore!” not all changes are good and not all changes are bad. That fact must be understood.

There are students whose back to school fashion is based on what a certain group is wearing. The positive side to this is that it indicates social acceptance. A person who has this type of back to school fashion shows that he or she is sociable and knows how to make friends with at least a certain group of people. However, this could also be an indication of a lack of initiative. People who dress the way others do may do so because they don’t really have any idea of what to wear. They let their groups decide their fashion because without the group, they really have no idea who they are.

Now you know that back to school fashion is a great indication of who a person is.

How to Choose the Perfect Fashion Store

June 20, 2018     Fashion And Beauty     No comments

Are you interested in revamping your wardrobe?  If you are looking to update the clothing or clothing accessories that you own, you may be interested in incorporating some of the latest fashion trends into your wardrobe.  If you are, you will need to find a fashion store to shop at.

When it comes to finding a fashion store to shop at, you have a number of different options.  Before examining those options, you need to remember that fashion stores are operated in both storefront locations and online.  If you are looking for an online fashion store, you may want to think about performing a standard internet search.  If you are looking for a storefront store to shop at, you may want to think about visiting your local shopping mall, using your local phone book, or using online business directories.

Although the above mentioned searching methods are all great ways to go about finding a fashion store and a good number of them at that, you never really know what type of stores you will come across. That is why you will actually want to do more than just find a fashion store to shop at; you will want to choose one to shop at.  When it comes to choosing the perfect fashion store to update your wardrobe, there are a number of important factors that you may want to take into consideration.

One of the many factors that you may want to take into consideration is the stores in question.  Fashion stores come in a number of different sizes, shapes, and styles.  For instance, there are clothing stores that are designed for plus sized women, teenagers, athletic men and women, and so forth.  In addition to examining your gender and your size, you may also want to take the type of clothing fashions that you would like to buy into consideration. Are you mostly just looking for work clothes or do you want a combination of work clothes and causal clothes?  Knowing what type of clothing and fashion accessories you would like to buy is very helpful when it comes to finding the perfect fashion store for you and your needs.

Cost is another factor that should be taken into consideration when choosing a fashion store to shop at.  A large number of the fashion stores that carry the latest and greatest fashion trends are likely to be fairly costly.  If you have an unlimited amount of money to spend on a new wardrobe, this may not necessarily be a problem for you. However, if you are on a budget, you may want to examine the fashion stores that you are interested in shopping at and their average sale prices.  If you are able to do a little bit of research online, even for storefront store, you may be able to save yourself a considerable amount of time.

Another factor that you may want to take into consideration is location.  Fashion stores are located all across the county and even some are located in small cities and towns.  However, if you are looking for some of the clothing pieces and fashion accessories that may be found on the runways of New York and Paris, you may not be able to find those items in your local fashion stores.  For that reason, it is important that you examine the location of the fashion store or stores that you would like to shop at.  Of course, you will likely want to stay locally, but if you are serious about updating your wardrobe to include the latest trends in fashion, you may want to make arrangements to travel to a well-known fashion store, even if it is a few hours away.

The above mentioned factors are just a few of the many ways that you can go about finding the perfect fashion store.  If you are not pressed for time or if you would like to make a fun adventure out of buying a new wardrobe for yourself, you may want to start hitting up as many fashion stores as you can find. Somewhere along the way, you are sure to find the perfect one, if not more.

7 Fashion And Beauty Brands That Dug Themselves A Hole In 2018

June 18, 2018     Fashion And Beauty     No comments

Earlier this week, Stefano Gabbana, of the Italian high fashion label Dolce & Gabbana, felt compelled to call Selena Gomezugly on Instagram, sparking outrage among her fans.
Of course, Gomez is not ugly, and Gabbana had no place commenting on the star’s looks. But given his history of making offensive remarks, the designer apparently feeds off controversy. (And somehow, the fashion industry never really seems to care.)
The whole situation got us thinking: Controversies are a dime a dozen in the world of fashion and beauty. We’re only halfway through 2018, and the brands and individuals below have already dug themselves into holes (some deeper than others).
2 Kat Von D BeautyKat Von D looking at the camera© Vivien Killilea via Getty Images Kat Von D has experienced her fair share of controversy over the years, especially in regards to her beauty brand (which isn't the best with lipstick names). But this month, the tattoo artist sparked a debate online after she posted an Instagram caption that many believed expressed anti-vaccination views. As a result, some questioned whether or not her views would sink her eponymous beauty brand.
On Thursday, Von D responded to the backlash, telling followers that she is not, in fact, an anti-vaxxer.
"Our personal medical records are no one’s business, and why we would feel it important for us to explore all our options when it comes to vaccinating our child, is also no one’s business - regardless of what I post on Instagram," she wrote.
4 Karl Lagerfelda man wearing sunglasses posing for the camera© VALERY HACHE via Getty Images Karl Lagerfeld's name is definitely as recognizable as a brand, so we're including him here.
The Chanel designer, much like fellow designers Dolce and Gabbana, has been running his mouth for years with few repercussions. In April, he shared some controversial thoughts on the Me Too movement in an interview with Numero magazine.
"I’m fed up with it ... What shocks me most in all of this are the starlets who have taken 20 years to remember what happened," he said. "Not to mention the fact there are no prosecution witnesses."
He also had this to say in response to the models who accused stylist Karl Templer of sexual misconduct: "It's unbelievable. If you don’t want your pants pulled about, don’t become a model! Join a nunnery, there’ll always be a place for you in the convent. They’re recruiting even!"
7 ZaraZara, Zara, Zara. The fast-fashion brand has been accused of cultural appropriation and flat-out copying on multiple occasions, so it came as no surprise it happened again in February.
As many social media users pointed out, the brand's "check mini skirt" bears a striking resemblance to a lungi, a wide strip of cloth worn mainly by men in South and Southeast Asia, East Africa, and the Arab world.
Zara's skirt retailed for about $90, while, in India, lungis can typically be purchased for less than a dollar.
Some people called Zara out for cultural appropriation, and some just made fun of the situation. Still, it was definitely a face-palm moment for the brand, which has done this before.
